“New T-shirts for the 21st Century” is the Me Issey Miyake line’s motto.
The line was launched in 2000 with the aim of having garments that bring joy in its colors & prints, comfort, easy-to-use and can be worn in all types of situations, all year round. Different techniques exists in this line. Here, the technique is called "stretch pleats": the fabric makes fine pleats vertically and horizontally, which makes it stretch in every direction possible. It is famous for its comfort wearing, its lightweight and easy-care. The line is 20 years old this year.
